Algae need light as well as water and nutrients. Covering the medium removes one of those conditions. Three diameters — 11.5, 15 and 22 cm — suit different setups, with box quantities listed below.
For covering exposed rockwool blocks and other compatible hydroponic media during propagation and growing. Match diameter to the block and leave stem clearance; reducing light on the medium helps limit algae growth.
