Information we use
You provide information directly when you submit a form, send an email or speak to us. The information depends on the request:
- Your name, email address, company, country and message; where relevant, business type, website, territory, delivery address, product choices, quantities and requested dimensions.
- Documents or images you choose to attach. Please provide only what is needed for the request and avoid sensitive personal information or unrelated information about other people.
- Technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser information. The enquiry service uses temporary security records to prevent spam and duplicate submissions.
- Your cookie choices, an optional remembered language and the products you add to a quote list. These browser features are explained below.
03
Purposes and legal grounds
We use personal information for the following purposes under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Preparing an offer or taking steps towards a contract you request: Article 6(1)(b), where you are the prospective contracting party.
- Answering general or business enquiries, communicating with company representatives and following up a potential partnership: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in responding to requests and conducting business communications.
- Operating the website, preventing abuse and handling security incidents: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable and secure service.
- Remembering your preferred language: your consent, Article 6(1)(a). You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie preferences.
- Meeting applicable legal duties and responding to lawful requests: Article 6(1)(c). If an enquiry becomes a commercial relationship, information needed for that relationship is also processed for the relevant contractual and legal purposes.

Forms and attachments
Forms let you review your details before submission. When you choose to send, your details and attachments are transmitted to Gronest’s email address. Files are handled temporarily for sending and are not published in a public website gallery.
Contact details entered in a form are not saved by the website in browser storage. Required fields are marked; other fields and attachments are optional. Without the information necessary to identify and answer a request, we may not be able to deal with it.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. The Gronest application does not include advertising trackers or audience analytics, and it does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing or profiling.
05
Cookies and browser storage
Your choice to accept or refuse optional storage is remembered for up to 180 days. Your preferred language is remembered only with permission and expires with that permission; withdrawing it removes the saved language.
The quote list uses storage for the browser tab only after you add a product. It contains product selections and quantities, not your contact details. You can remove the items; the browser normally clears session storage when the tab session ends, although session recovery may restore it.
Read the Cookie policy for the storage details or change your preferences below. Refusing optional storage does not prevent browsing or sending an enquiry.
06
How long information is kept
Enquiries, correspondence and emailed attachments are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and its follow-up. Relevant correspondence may need to be kept longer for an ongoing business relationship, applicable record-keeping duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. These purposes and the applicable obligations determine the retention period.
The enquiry service’s temporary security records contain protected IP identifiers, counters and request fingerprints, not message contents or attachments. Records older than 24 hours are eligible for removal and are deleted on the next request to the service. Hosting and email systems may maintain separate operational logs and backups; their retention must reflect security, recovery and applicable legal needs.
You can ask us about the retention applicable to your enquiry using the contact details above.
07
Access and service providers
Information is used by people authorised to handle the enquiry and by the hosting, IT and email services needed to operate the website and deliver messages. Where necessary, relevant information may be provided to professional advisers or authorities when required by law or for legal claims.
Service providers’ locations and arrangements determine whether processing involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area. Any such transfer must comply with GDPR transfer requirements, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact us for details about the providers, locations and safeguards relevant to your information.
08
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal information, and portability where it applies. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent without affecting processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
Send your request to office@gronest.com. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month; where the GDPR permits an extension for complex or numerous requests, we will explain it within that month.
You may lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP, the Romanian data protection authority, or the competent supervisory authority in the country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.

External links and updates
Social media buttons, distributor websites and map links take you to external services. Their own privacy notices apply when you use them. The social buttons on this website are links, not embedded social feeds.
We may revise this notice when website functions or processing arrangements change. The date above identifies the current text. Material changes will be communicated as required, and new optional processing will require an appropriate choice before it starts.
